This is my go-to recipe for BBQ sauce and I have been using it for many years. It was given to me by my mom, she called it “Mom’s Barbara-Q Sauce” and yes, her name is Barbara. You can use this sauce on any meat or BBQ dish you have in mind! Make plenty and keep it in your refrigerator, because you never know when you’ll need it.

Ingredients
- 20 ounces Catsup
- 1 1/4 cup packed Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup White Vinegar
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tbsp. Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp. Dry Mustard
- 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp. Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tbsp. Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp. Red Pepper Flakes
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a 2qt saucepan.
- Heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat & simmer for 15 minutes.
Note
Once your sauce cools down, you can store it in the refrigerator.
